1. Dad picking me up after work; Mom taking care of me when I was sick
2. Contrasted a friend’s unloving home with my own parents: I came home and thanked my parents for loving me

B. Most of us want to be loved and in one way or another advertise for people to please care about us.

1. Some do it by their sad stories
2. Other do it by abilities

II. What are the Conditions for Being Greatly Loved?

3. David: adulterer, murderer, poor father
4. Solomon: (2 Sam. 12:24)

B. It is based on God’s choice

1. How do I know God has loved me?

Jer. 31:3 The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.

2. How much has God loved me?

3. God’s patience isn’t enough...
4. Gods’ direct interventions aren’t enough to bring some people to repentance from their sin

D. Your choice...

1. God’s love for you doesn’t activate His forgiveness of you

John 1:12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God--
|Romans 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Ephesians 2: 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--
